COVID-19 vaccine development

The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) in Australia has been closely monitoring publicly available information on COVID-19 vaccines development. Significant efforts are being made by various stakeholders in the vaccine development landscape to produce safe and effective vaccines to fight against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Globally as of 25 August 2020 there were 173 vaccine candidates, of which 28 vaccine candidates are in human clinical trials. For further information, click here.
